Inside this volume
Follow the question.
- What campaign money makes possible
- Who gets through the gates before voters choose
- What replaces a resource when we restrict it
- How a reform behaves when the wrong person gets the keys
Removing the way limited resources are distributed does not make them unlimited. It changes who decides who gets them.JMAC · Volume 1
From the opening
The founding question was simple: What would happen if we took money out of political campaigns? At first, that sounded like a perfectly unrealistic question. Then we started pulling on it.
Legal examples refer to particular decisions and rules at the dates discussed. A legal holding, a research finding, and a proposed reform are different kinds of claims.
Ask what the evidence shows, what remains uncertain, and what would change the conclusion. The same questions apply to this book.
